As I've read by your post, I see your interests lay with F4 and MSFS. The Virtual Navy has two flying squadrons that are very active namely VFA-105 Gunslingers which is FS9 run utilising the Hornet FA-18 and the transport aircraft. VFA-105 is under command of CDR Ryan Stertz ( r.stertz@vnavy.com) with the XO being LCDR Dan LaFountain (d.lafountain@vnavy.com). VFA-97 Warhawks utilises Falcon 4:AF which is under command of CDR Pete Boardman (p.boardman@vnavy.com). I myself am the XO as well as the Training Officer for VFA-97. VFA-97 Warhawks is at present online every Friday 2000hrs Zulu time and is currently going through an intensive training program as well as missions in the Korea 2005 Campaign structure. Of course online activity can be arranged at anytime as most members live in the US and Europe. The email addresses I've listed above are the contacts should you wish to obtain more in-depth information as these guys are the main contacts and will advise you of the requirements to join should you decide to do so. In a nutshell, once your decision is made and wish to join, do so on the website and you'll receive a welcome letter with all the necessary requirements listed on it. You'll be posted to OCS for initial testing and once passed, you'll be offered to join one of the flying squadrons depended upon which sim you wish to concentrate on. Best bet, contact CDR Stertz and include both CDR Boardman and LCDR LaFountain in your email whom will give you the nitty gritty of it all. Alternatively, join up and see what lays ahead of you. They're a great bunch of guys and assist you in anyway they can to make it an interesting and comfortable experience as a member of a virtual naval environment. At the end of the day it's all about having fun and enjoying the online experience with other members of the virtual environment. Best wishes on your choice you'll make.
