jomni Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 (edited) I'm having a very hard time hitting with the Mav. The A-10 just keeps swinging wildly so I need to adjust trim very often and it still swings. The targets are also little dots so it's hard to get a good lock and I have to try a lot of times. Any tips? Update: I guess it's all about experience. I'm getting better now, but not good enough. I get to make the plane more stable with extensive use of trim. Something that I don't do in the SF series. Edited April 27, 2010 by jomni
+JediMaster Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Do you have a twist rudder? You may want to go into the controls and increase the dead zone for the rudder so you don't move it inadvertantly.
jomni Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 (edited) Thanks! I guess the twist was the problem. Bought a new HOTAS (Thustmaster T.Flight) and retired my Saitek Cyborg Evo. It has a screw to lock the flight stick from twisting. I then assigned rudders to the paddles in the throttle. Less use of trimming from now on. Edited April 28, 2010 by jomni
