First Eagles 2 scenery upgrade

Recommended Posts

I have recently downloaded the scenery upgrade from Jan Tuma. I have installed it into the scenery folders as stated but it does not show when I start the sim. Am I doing something wrong. I have tried to do the automatic version (copying the main file into the main First Eagles folder) and manually putting the individual folders into the Terrains folders. They show under the terrains folder but are not their in the game. Can anybody help please

FE1 or FE2? There is a big difference where you put the files.

In FE1 the files should go in C:/Program Files/Third Wire /First Eagles/Terrains.

In FE2 they should go in Documents and Settings/Third Wire/FirstEagles2/Terrains if your running Windows XP.

In FE2 they should go in Users/.../Third Wire/FirstEagles2/Terrains if your running Windows Vista or 7.

Also, make sure that the folder says Terrains(With an S at the end.)

Thanks for the reply. Its FE2 and I am using Vista 32bit. I have found the main directory under saved games I have no user file. When I open it there is no Terrains file. I have found the Terrains file in the Programs file which is where I installed the scenery upgrade. I am at a bit of a loss now.

My Bad,Wing.

It is the Saved Games folder(called Mod folder by modders). As Christian says: If the folder is not there just make it.

In fact; whatever folders are not there, just make them.

The game engine looks in those made(Mod) folders before going to the Program Files folders.

Thanks for all your help Guys. All now working. This game has great potential. Aircraft are good, scenery now a lot better. The only thing is the engine sound and perhaps the stalling part of the flight characteristics. But on the whole its great. It runs a lot more smoothly than another WW1 sim I can think of. So I am now a convert to First Eagles 2.
