+warthog64 Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 (edited) I recently got a new computer to replace my previous one which had a motherboard failure. Anyway the screen is very different compared to my former computer when playing WOE. I use Catalyst Control Center with the game and everything looks fine except everything looks shortened and flatter when viewed in the verticle and longer for the horizontal. I did not have this issue with my former computer yet all of the settings were the same; also the sytem specs were very similar. Here are some screen shots for an idea of what I mean. My previous computer did not distort the game like this one does, and since I'm not a graphics/computer expert by any means does anyone have an idea what causes this and how to fix it? Right now I'm using a standard 4:3 setting for the game as the 16:9 one seems to make everything shortened no matter what direction (I used the same settings with my old computer). Thanks for any help my new computer specs are VISION Technology by AMD Featuring AMD Turion II dual-core mobile processor M500 2.2GHz 16" TFT-LCD widescreen HD TruBrite® Display / ATI Radeon 4200 graphics 4GB DDR2 Memory / 320GB Hard Drive / DVD SuperMulti with Labelflash Built-in webcam with microphone / Built-in 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit Edited May 24, 2010 by warthog64 Quote
FastCargo Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 You haven't said what your computer screen resolution is. Match the resolution selection in WOE with what your screen is and you should be fine. However, make sure Catalyst isn't jacking with your settings as well. FC Quote

FC The screen resolution is 1366x768 and the game is set to the same resolution already, not sure why it's not working? Also when you say jacking what exactly do you mean? Thanks for your help! Quote
FastCargo Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Sometimes the CCC can override what the game is trying to tell the screen and so mess up what you are seeing. Try turning just the CCC (Catalyst Control Center) off and see what happens. FC Quote
