Foofighter 0 Posted August 13, 2004 I've had FS2K4 for quite a while but have just started getting into it. I know this may be a stupid question, but whenever I switch to the virtual cockpits in any aircraft that I have downloaded the panels and cockpit interiors are missing :( . If anyone knows what I am doing wrong can you please help? BTW, I unzip them into a temp folder and then move them into the FS9 aircraft directory. I all ways read the readme's that come with each a/c and if they require I copy the files where they belong (i.e. effects folder, etc.). No problems with the stock a/c. Thanks for any help! PG_Raptor 0 Posted August 13, 2004 Most freeware aircraft don't have Virtual Cockpits. Kirk Olsen's F-16 is a fine exception. You're not doing anything wrong, they're simply not there.
Foofighter 0 Posted August 13, 2004 Thanks PG! I really thought I had screwed something up. Thanks again, Foofighter
SDirickson 0 Posted August 13, 2004 I often download aircraft purely on the quality of the VC. If it doesn't have one, or if its just a simple job, I can't enjoy flying the plane. Also, most aircraft designers that take the time to create an excellent VC have already created a great aircraft to go with it. You'll be hard pressed to find a terrible aircraft with an excellent panel.
Foofighter 0 Posted August 14, 2004 Thanks, I'm learning that... I d-loaded a bunch of a/c and ended up deleting most of them over the last few days. Only a few have VCs and they're the ones I kept. Going to go try to fly from KDCA to KMIA in real weather. I'm curious on how FS models severe weather. Foofighter
