BirdDogg Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 What Sim do you concider to have the best A.I, and for what reason? I've been spending my time back in EECH/EEAH lately, (while waiting for Project 1 to be completed) and I've been finding the A.I. to be pretty decent. They will do as directed and perform generally well, and give me the feeling that they're working with me. They don't seem to do dumb stuff. So... What sim A.I. do you feel is the best? BirdDogg. +pcpilot Posted January 5, 2003 Posted January 5, 2003 I have only flown a few sims, SWOTL, F22 Lightening3, A10, CFS2, Aces High, (which doesnt have AI), IL2, but my favorite with the toughest AI has got to be IL2. They make you work for your kills, you need to know at least something about aerial manuevers to get on their tails. They also tend to be persistant, like pesky little bugs buzzin aound ya spittin 20mm. Quote

SDirickson Posted January 5, 2003 Posted January 5, 2003 Man, Operation Flashpoint rox. Its funny, no one says anything about the AI in F-15 or F/A-18. They had pretty good wingmen AI, but I never had any problems wasting the OPFOR. I guess thats realistic though, :). Just cuz the Iranians have F-14 doesn't mean they know how to use them. Quote

SDirickson Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 Flanker 2.5 deserves mention as having the hardest dogfighting of any sim I've played. Its is damn impossible to take an F-16 in a guns only dogfight, and an F-15 is almost as hard. Quote
