I found a little info while digging, it was on "F-16.net". The man flying this jet may have been then Lt. Col David Goldfien. He lived and went on to make 1 star before retiring. The article references him flying "a very expensive glider". There was another F-16 shot down by ground forces this night as well.

I also found a list of planes shot down during this campaign and it seems that no F-16's were downed with pilot losses.
