After painting new skis how to locate in Game

Recommended Posts

I went to the Aircraft folder in the main OFF folder and found the Camel_AC1 and the Sopwith_Pup_AC1 folders..

In each of those folders found a texture folder. I converted the appropiate dds file to a jpg file and painted some new markings and decals. ,then converted it back to the appropiate dds file. and checked these files with Paint.net. The dds files show my newly painted skin.

When I go to the game how do I find the planes that carry my painted skins? Here is a sample of my new skin

When you create a skin, put it in the \campaign\Campaign Data\skins folder. At least I think that's the path (I don't have OFF o this computer so can't check it). Anyway, it's the campaign tree and the ultimate folder is \skins. Once you have the skin in that folder, you can select it in QC and the campaign.

NOTE: When selecting skins, they're listed alphabetically. Thus, it helps to give your skins names that will put them at the top of the list, and also be recognizable from the stock skins. I name mine all "BH_(airplane type)_(skin description)".

Thanks very much Bullethead. That did the trick. And it is very easy to add my simple skins to the game. Just adds to the fun of OFF.
