ThomasDWeiss Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 (edited) I am flying them to see that everything is working as it should - without those fighters that insist in flying with empty racks or would rather sit pretty on the tarmac and do nothing ... Like an earlier pack I uploaded at Biohaz, these missions are about Air-to-Air combat, I just made them shorter and added a set of goals. You can fly the F-15 or Ukrainian Su-27 against Russian Su-27/33 and MiG-29S in the NATO set of missions or the Su-27/33 and MiG-29S when flying with the Russians against NATO/Ukrainian fighters ... in a battle to gain Air Superiority over the city of Kerch. I tried to make them as enjoyable as I could, and as they are not in the campaign format, you can fly them in sequence or in any order you want. I'll try to upload this pack in a week or so. ThomasDWeiss Posted October 25, 2004 Author Posted October 25, 2004 Here's a mission report I also posted at SimHQ, I am trying to catch a flight of MiG-29's as they take off - without great success! I flew as low as I could ... but it was useless ... I had to pop up - and fire ... and I fired blind - I had no time to get radar lock. I got lucky! but ... ... the moment I did that - I heard a BZZZZONG! Sam Lock! Not one - but two SAM launchers fired at me ... but it was ever worse - A TUNGUSKA SAM fired two heat-seeking SAM's at me ... chaff flare chaff flare ... empty ... Both flew past me - they missed! (sigh of relief ...) but the radar guided SAM didn't miss. :) Quote
