SidDogg Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Hello, All. I just grabbed Bongodriver's EF2000 or SF2. Having problems starting missions on the GROUND! ALL my settings for mission start are on the airfield... But when I start the mission, the aircraft is in the air, halfway to the target... Perhaps someone ran into this problem also? I have been lookin through the forums It only happens with the EF2000. Does anyone know what could be wrong? SidDogg
SidDogg Posted September 11, 2011 Author Posted September 11, 2011 Did some more troubleshooting after a complete reinstall... It only happens with May 2011 Patch and later. What new feature might that have to do with it? SidDogg
Gocad Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) FYI: Your SF2 install has nothing to do with it...I have the same issue here as well. Strange thing is, I have had the aircraft in it since I migrated to SF2. Furthermore, when you select the Typhoon for a mission and replace it with stock aircraft they still start up in the air. Some more testing: Picked a "known good" aircraft, swapped them for teh Typhoons....they launch from the airfield, AI can do that with no issue. Same when using the Mission Editor. +PureBlue Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 here's a shot in the dark: MinBaseSize=SMALL perhaps the terrain don't have any SMALL airfields.. Although, using ME to create the mission would allow you to takeoff from anywhere, AFAIK..

Gocad Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 here's a shot in the dark: MinBaseSize=SMALL perhaps the terrain don't have any SMALL airfields.. Although, using ME to create the mission would allow you to takeoff from anywhere, AFAIK.. Shot in the dark is about right... MinBaseSize=SMALL means that the aircraft can operate from any SMALL, MEDIUM or LARGE airfield. No point in changing that.
PureBlue Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I've downloaded the pack from here: http://combatace.com/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=9332 and in my full merged Sep2011 install, stock desert terrain, the game starts me on the ground.. Can't reproduce your problem.
SidDogg Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 ...full merged? I'm only using SF2... SidDogg
Gocad Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 ...full merged? I'm only using SF2... SidDogg That has nothing to do with it either.
