DonL Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-10-18/hidden-spitfires-to-be-excavated-in-burma/4321436 After almost 70 years underground I can't believe that they are in as good a shape as they are saying. However, maybe there will be enough usable pieces to build a few. Lets hope so!
HumanDrone Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 We're all watching this one! I sure hope these are recoverable and flyable, it would be fantastic!
UK_Widowmaker Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 It's utterly terrific..and all due to a Farmer's persistence..he's to be congratulated!...I hope he, at the very least...get's his investment returned! Imagine a day, when SIXTY Spitfires take to the sky together!...what an amazing sight (and sound) that'll be!!!
