I wanted to share these pics. They are from an open house and aircraft commissioning over the weekend. I was directly involved with the development of the V-22 from 88-94 at this same squadron (HMX-1) during my second tour with them. Despite its early development issues (I watched a crash in July of '92 that took the lives of a number of close friends) I personally always believed in the technology. It has taken sometime, 25 years, but it is finally showing its value to the Marine Corps. This is a brand new aircraft sporting the colors of the squadron. In the second pic you can see the aircraft I provide support for now while prepping for its future replacement.
