Littlefireyone Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Hey guys, first off I absolutely love the strike fighters series and all the effort you lot have put into the community in terms of mods and support. I do have a question though that relates to an addon aircraft I downloaded recently. I tried searching for a fix but haven't had much luck unfortunately. When you input pitch up the tailerons animate for pitch down and vice versa. I assume this is something rudimentary in the .ini file regarding the control surfaces? the Plane in question is this lovely JH-7Ahttp://combatace.com/files/file/10251-jh-7a-version-10/ Quote
+Cliff7600 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 A little quick fix (I guess there's no other way...) In the JH-7A_DATA.INI file : [LeftStabilizer] SystemType=CONTROL_SURFACE InputName=PITCH_CONTROL MovingSurface=TRUE MaxDeflection=10.0 MinDeflection=-20.0 RotationAxis=Z-AXIS ControlRate=1.0 ModelNodeName=LeftStab ReverseModelOrientation=TRUE [RightStabilizer] SystemType=CONTROL_SURFACE InputName=PITCH_CONTROL MovingSurface=TRUE MaxDeflection=10.0 MinDeflection=-20.0 RotationAxis=Z-AXIS ControlRate=1.0 ModelNodeName=RightStab ReverseModelOrientation=TRUE Quote
Littlefireyone Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 Thank you, this seems to have rectified the issue. Another question, does the game support rear stabilizers also being linked to roll control? Quote
+Cliff7600 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 You're welcome Yes, with install at patch 08 level. I don't think it works with patch 06 Exemple with the MiG-25 : [LeftStabilizer] SystemType=CONTROL_SURFACE InputName=PITCH_CONTROL MovingSurface=TRUE MaxDeflection=12 MinDeflection=-15 ControlRate=1.0 ... SecondaryInputName=ROLL_CONTROL SecondaryInputFactor=0.41 [RightStabilizer] SystemType=CONTROL_SURFACE InputName=PITCH_CONTROL MovingSurface=TRUE MaxDeflection=12 MinDeflection=-15 ControlRate=1.0 ... SecondaryInputName=ROLL_CONTROL SecondaryInputFactor=-0.41 Quote
Littlefireyone Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Thanks for that, I'll get cracking updating my plane's .ini files Quote
