Game no longer responds to Keyboard or Joystick

The only input the game recognizes is from my mouse. This applies to both in flight and reconfiguring the controls. Deleting the default.ini did not fix the issue.

 

I'm running the march 2012 version with all expansions.

I know this is a stupid question, but does windows recognize your joystick? It obviously recognizes your keyboard, but does it see your joystick?

Yes. I wasn't having any issues with the joystick previously playing this game.

 

edit: the game started working again properly and I have no idea why.
