Ground Radar Targeting

Just got SFP1 last week. I've been a Janes FA flyer for the past 7 years. Had a question concerning the ground radar. When ground radar is activated I've tried to aquire a ground target by using the "Insert" key per the manual but cannot get it to actually lock onto anything. If I select the target visually using the "E" key I can't get tone to fire an ARM at it. Can anyone help?

If you press E and get a red box round the target you can fire at it. The only time you get an audible tone is with an IR missile lock on an air target.

or you can use the weapon editor to add a seeker growl bit i dont think it would work for a/g targets
