As a result of the need for the Colombian Air Force to have a gunship helicopter as a means of deterrence against external enemies, the Arpía is essentially a UH-60L to which more equipment and weapons have been added both internally and externally.Currently, the Colombian Air Force has 12 aircraft. The Helicopter can fire Spike NLOS an Spike LR ATGM missiles, both in the inventory of the FAC, GAU-19 12.7 mm gatling guns, 70mm rocket pods.
