About Don ULFonso

  1. Left-handed HOTAS system

It's not my mod, it's that of another CH-user who goes by the nick of "snomhf" over at the CH Hangar. I just considered his dedicated project worth a link so that the word may be spread.
  2. Left-handed HOTAS system

If you're left-handed, why be content with a joystick ;) like Saitek's Evo - why not get a high-end flightstick like CH Products' Fighterstick and Pro Throttle and the "leftie HOTAS" conversion mod: offered by a left-handed CH-user, snomhf:
  3. Thrustmaster Cougar Hotas & Rudders

Well, I had a link bookmarked but haven't restored my system after the last recovery yet, so I can't find it now, sorry. But you should get an answer if you'd just ask over on Frugal's World, either in the Cougar World section or under joysticks/HOTAS.
  4. Thrustmaster Cougar Hotas & Rudders

If you just need a new pot or spring for your TM RCS, that shouldn't be too much of an issue... ...but if you really wanna get some new pedals, then the SimPeds would be the first choice: 3-axes, i.e. rudder plus toe-brakes, and a game-port to be plugged into your HOTAS Cougar - nothing beats the SimPeds WRT fine-control, though ordering them can be a pain since Peter Hofmann doesn't speak English (his friend Peter Madel is actively monitoring Cougar World, though, and usually helps out as good as he can). If you don't mind a bit of soldering you might fancy the idea of getting CH Products' Pro Throttle: it's USB but there's a detailed explanation available on Cougar World on how to add a game-port so that you can switch it. The Pro Pedals feature 3 axes, too. They're much smaller than TM's RCS and the pedals move in a straight line; you can lock the rudder-movement and then use the toe-brakes for racing-sims, if you like.
  5. Question about Thrustmaster F16FLCS/TQS

THX:) for the info, Sokol1. Unfortunately, I can't open the link to that thread on that Russian board :( .
  6. Question about Thrustmaster F16FLCS/TQS

Interesting, but could you please explain this a bit more detailed? I've visited this site but had the impression that the Mjoy16 was a card, no replacement for the stick's circuitry. What exactly would a user need, and what would he do with it?
  7. Question about Thrustmaster F16FLCS/TQS

You can use any sound-card with a game-port on it like most of the SBs. Or you can simply buy a MIDI-port card since MIDI-port is just another name for the game-port ;) . If you plan to use a converter you should keep in mind that you'd then loose your controllers' programmability :( . The only place where you still can get the digital upgrade chips would be ebay, I'm afraid.
