  1. There's a few things that might help with this: Remove the MIcrosoft libs from the MiG Alley folder so it uses the Win10 system libs (might be more compatible) Use later versions of any mss32.dll, smacker or bink libs which might be more Win10 compatible. The latest version of DDrawCompat v0.7.0 works.. DOS4GW is part of the install no idea why it's in there?!? But this could be replaced with a more mem safe DOS32a renamed to DOS4GW, if it's used. Should probably put a few notes down at some point.
  2. This is a wait chain issue which is known to affect InstallShield. Run setup.exe and open task manager and expand the setup process. There may be 3 sub processes, go to details for each one and analyze wait chains. Some will be empty (no issue) but one may have a completely unrelated process hanging onto a resource needed by the FA-18 setup, (for me it was EpicGameLauncher). Kill this process and setup should continue although it is slow and takes a while so be patient. This article was for a different game setup that was hanging due to some Logitech software, but is useful background: https://www.tales-from-darkenedroom.com/post/installshield-freezing-it-may-be-a-logitech-issue
  3. Additional mod/skins article added for MiG Alley: https://www.tales-from-darkenedroom.com/post/mig-alley-skins-things
