  1. RB3D & Tracker IR.

fantastic!! is that GabiLaser, that visits here? congratulations and many thanks.
  2. Hi Hellzone.. excuse me butting in... i'm not sure if you mean the IL2 engine, or the new one ? the game looks visually stunning, and i'm looking forward to playing it very much. whats up with it? regards.
  3. it was locked? for devlopers only (i presumed). game *looks* lovely, but i hope it plays better than IL2. (the bouncy planes didn't really do it for me). why didn't they do the Eastern front? is it not as commercially viable? would love to virtually fly a Sikorsky. i'm really looking forward to this game.
  4. Vogesen Terrain

hi folks... i'm not an expert, but it looks like the collision model for the bridge is a bounding box, or something. consequently you will not be able to fly under the bridge, no matter what model you use. the solution would be to use a collision model that more accurately follows the bridge geometry, allowing you to fly through it's holes. regards.
  5. prayers

sorry to hear this, jodandawg. positive wishes, from england.
  6. Sopwith Dolphin

Cecil Lewis is alleged to have said "The Sopwith Dolphin was the best fighter design of the war". I take it from that, he quite liked it. :) From what i can gather on the net, the guns were mounted at 45 degrees, so that they'd be able to shoot over the propellor. (as somebody posted above). regards. edit --> ps.... some Fokker EIV's also had 4 guns ? or was that just the prototypes.
  7. Yet another WW1 sim

I checked out the Dawn of Aces demo a while back. IIRC, the scope of the game was impressive. There was a lot of things to do, and missions to fly on. but everybody had a bounding box around them, and as you say, the impression was "sci-fi jet fighter", not string and wood. I don't like pay to play, but gotta s! the guys for producing a WW1 game. it's a great shame that the graphics weren't overhauled with the movie tie-in, though. potential newcomers to the genre will be put off by eyecandy of that quality, i think. oh, well.. (2 cents)
  8. Yet another WW1 sim

pay to play sucks. but not as much as the flyboys film. *LOL* the demo appears to be a partially revamped version of Dawn of Aces. people would be better off getting get Red Baron 3D... it's better, they can mod it (fairly) easily, and they can set up their own server for free. strange, isn't it... that we wait 8 years, and then 4 sims come out at once. i'll probably be purchasing all of them, with the exception of this title.
