Hi, I had a break from SFP1 for a few years and came back to it. So i loaded up my CD and got the service pack and patch off thirdwire's website (the only 2 downloads you can get for SFP1 anyway) and whenever i press esc to finish a mission it just closes the game?! I have reloaded SFP1 and patched it before modding it, incase this was the problem but it still does it? Anyone any wiser about this problem? Cheers,

Hey guys, I installed the f22a and placed all the necessary files in their folders. I edited the weapondata.ini, saved it, and loaded the weapon editor up,clicked on the newly installed weps and saved it. However, when i go on laodsout for the f22, its bare and i only have the choice of placing GBU paveways, AIM-9's (H to P), and AGM-78A standard arm, on the weapon points. I don't get what's happened. I installed bunyaps weapon pack, i have a few other wep packs installed aswell, and i have checked that my weapon data does contain AIM120's and AIM-9X's. It's just for some bizare reason all i can equip is crap. Anyone experienced this before? I would like a bit of advice really before i go tinkering with .ini files that i just don't understand lol

Thats the thing all my missions were flown later than 1991, i.e 2005 and there weren't any amraams.

It's not the F22-A that's the exact problem i think. I have looked at other aircraft i have that are meant to be able to equip AHM missiles like the F14'S, F-15, F-16, F-18, MIG-29, and none of them have the missiles to load up when i go on the laodout screen. The date's seem to match, and the pylons are meant to be able to quip AHM's but they don't!!!!!!!!

hey just a quick one, Me and my bro both have pc's wired up to the same router, so we figured we would both go on SFP1 multiplayer. We both selected LAN, and i set up a game, and he couldnt see my game in order to join! i am not sure whatelse to do, because i don't exactly know what i am doing. Could anyone shed any light on this for me please! Thankyou

I got it to work! Man we had a blast, literally! Yeh i had to amend the ip adress thing, and it works fine now! Wooop! Thanks everyone!

Hey man i got hamachi, and it was simple to install and understand. We both got the non-comercial install, and we have the exact same planes in the game. I set up a network on hamachi and my bro joined, we both went on to SFP1 multiplayer and selected LAN as connection type. I set up a game on LAN and then on TCP/IP but it wasnt showing the game when my bro was searching for it? Figured i must be doing something wrong again lol?! peace

Hey thanks for the reply man, byut what's a hamachi? I selected the same aircraft for us when i was setting the mission up. It just seems weird that we cant detect the missions either one of us sets up, even though were both wired to the same router. Peace

Like a knight in shining armour, help was at hand lol. I updated all my driver, and in the end i had to mod the .cat effect shader thing. Chuffed as chips now, massive thanks to FasrCargo and Gr.Viper!

Hello, I was just wondering, by comparison to american jets like the F15, and F/A18 on SFP1, the russian Mig29, and Mig25 aren't nearly half as quick, despite the fact that they're meant to be? They just seem terribly slow? Is this correct? Or is it just me? Thanks for your time, Chris -

I have noticed recently since the introduction of chaff and flares, that radar guided missiles are about as much use as a chocolate fire-guard. You'd have a better kill rate of you started strapping ten foot spears onto the front of your jet, and tried skewering the enemy out of the sky. I don't mean to be pedantic, but i was just wondering if there are any tips or ideas any one has on how to overcome this problem? Seriously everytime a radar missile get fired, it tracks untill it almost hits, then decides it can't be bothered and goes off for a wonder. I suppose giving every plane chaff and flare might have something to do with it, but i worked on the basis that if the basic stockplanes had chaff and flare way back when, then every other plance since then must have also had chaff and flare? I really am stuck on this one, any help would be greatly recieved. Thanks for yout time, Chris -

yeh guys but not only do radar guided missiles wonder off just before impact, IRM missiles also do it! I am not talking about your basic missiles, this also applies to bitchin missiles like AMRAAM, ASRAAM, ALAMO, ADDER ETC .. just about everymissile i have tested, and they all go an walk. Seriously, it's not funny, nothing hits anything anymore. They just go for a wonder before impact, and i can't see any deployment of decoys. It's sooo frustrating. Would it be anything to do with the missiles reliability? (P.S I still don't get any missile showing up when i select APHID IRM'S) Anyways, thankyou for all of you time and contributions! -
Problem with nuke mod

There isnt a Nuke effect for SFP1, so i am presuming thirdwire haven't made one for WOV? Deuces was appently working on a nuke effect, but his site is not up at the momment, and last time i checked all the files for download had been taken off too. I had the same problem with the weapon editor, until i downloaded a completely new one, and that seemed to sort that problem out? Sorry i can't be more more helpful, or precise! -

Oh yeh, sorry to blag, but if the F4 had ECM, then surely adding DECEPTIVE ECM capabilities to every fighter in the game thereafter, would be a correct thing to do if you wanted to make things more realistic? Cheers, Chris
