  1. Damn, Ruggbutt! You are seriously 'on the ball'! Much appreciated! I actually just found and downloaded those missions earlier today. I have to try them out still. That may address exactly what I'm looking for. I was having trouble with it before. I tried loading an existing A10 mission (default one from the LOMAC install) into LMR, and saving a randomized version... but, as I said, it didn't seem to actually create a file. I'll try these new files next. Thanks again for all the help so far! Cheers!
  2. When I see that warning about Hot Files, I generally just cancel and skip the mod. I did let ONE get installed. The FPS mod actually didn't install 2 or 3 of the packets (graphics.init, etc)... I think it was a Hot File thing. Anyway, I backed up the files that it said it would have copied over, and let it install. So, I hope I can just put the Hot Files back... Seems like many of the mods are Modman 5 versions, so I'll have to keep my eye out for that...
  3. Hello again, Ruggbutt. Ya, I'm using FC. I thought I had it fixed when I removed the one (of the three) zips, but now it's silent again! Damn... I'll pull out all the sound mods and see if it comes back. I'll look into the FC version of ZZZSpace. Haven't seen it yet. BTW, the last suggestion you gave me regarding the A10 Mavericks always missing (put Missile Effectiveness up) works great. Thanks!
  4. I've been looking for a random mission generator, found a few, but can't get any of them to work. LOMU, for example, seems fine while you are using the generator, but when I save out a random mission (Save Randomized), it doesn't seem to actually save a file anywhere... even though you go through a file requester and hit save! The Save Mission button works, but the Save Randomized doesn't seem to generate a file. LMR, meanwhile, seems to work (although it's clumbsy to have to move the file over to the mission folder, rather than it saving the file there automatically). The missions generated seem pretty lame. It's strange how there doesn't seem to be much work being done on random mission generators. I would have thought the LOMAC community would be crying out for them. I'm not even asking for a dynamic campaign... just a mod where you are given a random target (ground or air), and other enemies are randomly placed on the map as well that you may run into. So far, LOMU and LMR are all I could find, and neither of them really work for me. Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on this?
  5. Some mods change the external view so you can move the camera 360 degrees in any direction... but I hate how you often end up underground as a result. So, I'd rather it be back the way it normally is, but I have no idea where the setting is for putting it back to normal. Anyone know?
  6. Oh, I thought that was just for enemy missiles... Okay, I'll give that a try. Thanks...
  7. Some mods bring up an alert about the mod overwriting Hot Files. Obviously, it says that they wouldn't advise it, but does this mean I should completely forget about installing the mod, or is this just a generic warning that I can safely ignore... or, do I back something up? I noticed it for the f16 mod, for example...
  8. I had previously had the 3 zip ZZZ Soundpack installed (using Modman), and it seemed to work fine. Now, the a10 engine sounds are completely silent, and the only fix seems to be to remove the one zip from the 3 zips (...the one that isn't a Bitching Betty one). That fixes it, but it's a drag I can't use that. I have the Archer soundpack instead. Anyone run into that, and know of a fix?
  9. I really liked the one mod for LOMAC where the F4 view is pulled back a bit (towards front of plane) so you can see the pilot as well as the tail. However, installing the FPS tweek mod seems to have messed it up, as now half the plane model is missing in that view. I think it's an issue with the view.cfg file being overwritten. Just wondering if anyone is using both those mods, and knows how to fix that...
  10. I'm wondering if anyone is experiencing this, or knows what is happening... In the quick mission for the a10 (...the mission you can access via the main menu buttons for each of the planes), I find that my Mavericks ALWAYS hit about 10 feet(?) or so away from the tanks I'm targetting on the ground, even though I appear to have a good lock. Anyone experience that, or know why that might be happening? Mavericks seem to work fine in other missions, just not the quick a10 mission on the main screen.
