About yakhiasi

  1. Wow thank you so much for the help, will pm for your email olham, in the meanwhile here were pics from Albatros Nr 1 which was now standing 2 years in a museum near vienna, this one is the plane of Mr. Mayrhofer. They removed it from the Exhibition last week, the colour of the birch ply got now very nice altered colours, see here some pics: (c from Mr. Mayrhofer) and also a video of 253.01 and its way to built (german speaking doku) hopefully it works if not here is the youtube link: ">
  2. Thank you initially for the info.. Well the Handbooks and Operating Manuals will be used privat! I just try to locate also a 3 side view drawing of OEFFAG Albatros, o do have original side drawings, but maybe someone has done that so far to save me time.... Ill try to contact wings palette webmaster for the Copyright fact, lets have a look what he says! But anyhow, a nice 3D animated Albatros gif would be top ! So far Matthias :-)
  3. Good morning from Austria, just wanted to keep up with the project news: We are just working on the certification now of the Albatros, it will be made under supervision of the OUV in Germany together with the LBA (Luftfahrtbundesamt) I am just sitting on a pack of reports, restricitions and the latest European Certification Standard book (428 pages) which tells us how to built the Albatros ... Even with the Instruments what to have inside.... and a fuel flow meter for the fuel ok enough to laugh !! I will now start with the aircraft and pilot handbook, therefore i got nice books which i guess you know: one is very good : From Bleriot to Spitfire (from the Shuttleworth Collection) 1977 and how to fly them... Much paperwork, but hopefully there are some backdoors and friends in all aviation histories who welcome those planes to see them in the air again! Folks a special question to you: i would like to use for the cover of the handbook and some papers the gif drawing of mr. v. Hochmuth´s Albatros which you can find in the internet... (http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww1/f/175/175/2/19) does anyone know where i an get the contact with him to get a copyright for using now on the Real Albatros ´s handbooks? Or does anyone of you have such 2d or 3d jpgs or gifs of our 253.24 Albatros? Thank you in advantage, pictures will come soon hopefully also videos of a new Engine Testrun beside Mr. Mayrhofer´s finished 2nd static Albatros Matthias!

  5. Albatros DIII Mayrhofer Fritsch

Give me a moment, just upload a nice cockpit pic, and also pictures from the transport from Hallstadt (middle in the Alps...) to Vienna at the Airshow... Be patient :-)
  6. Albatros DIII Mayrhofer Fritsch

Good morning, thanks to all for the welcome Olham and all the others. Yepp ill keep you all up to date about the process of being airworthy with that plane. Now we have a little delay because Mr. Fritsch (the owner) is going to build a workshop now at his house for all his Engines and to work on a assembled plane. I hope to provide you soon also with detailled Cockpit pictures of the OEFFAG Albatros! Keep on flying ;-) From Austria Matthias
  7. Albatros DIII Mayrhofer Fritsch

Hello Polovski, maybe you can PM your email and i will provide you with actual paintings high resolution pics :-) Matthias!
  8. Albatros DIII Mayrhofer Fritsch

Was it that plane?? Will ask Koloman if he wants a black rider Albatros,.. one of those 3 Fuselages will be his. one will go to Australia! Matthias.
  9. Albatros DIII Mayrhofer Fritsch

Hello Mr. Hasse Wind, yes it is the only World Wide REAL RUNNING Austro Daimler 6 cyl Engine! You can imagine that we all take care like our baby (and yes the plane is it..) And i will let you know how it flies (hopefully end of the year...) I know now Mr. Mayrhofer for several years, because i do a restauration from an original RAF D DAy Observation plane called "Auster V" looks like a Piper L4,... see below a ready example with D Day insignia. So can you all imagine that i have hardly time to play such games... even in snowy winter time, either my family or the planes need me. (Thanks Patricia for your patience and understanding ; ) And YES the day with 24 hours is much tooo less (but i am 36 this year, a little time left ) Cheers, Matthias !
  10. Albatros DIII Mayrhofer Fritsch

Sorry my last reply was incomplete: so agaain: OvS : let me know what you need, ill try to manage next time a stativ and sounds without wind and pictures as well. on the last weekend when we did those, it was stormy and horrible during the day, winds up to 30 knots directly in our tent where it was ... Awful for Koloman and Eberhard to see sandstorm going into the Albatros, but we tried to protect the Austro Daimler eninge, and at 5 pm the wind calmed and we did what you see on side 1 :-) You still work on the big birds? I am here with an 2008 Citation XLS, so my work and my hobbie and free time all about Airplanes.. My poor Wife ;-) Thanks Patricia for your understandness and pation! So folks time for another "aaaahhhh" see some shots of the planes of Mr. Mayrhofers "garage" (no it is a professional workshop) and see what we also have soon on your Airfield: By the way the Airfield Aigen im Ennstal is in the middle of the heart of Austria, surrounded by the Alps, a WWII training field with Bücker, Arados and Klemms, and it was named in the 60ies after Mr. Fiala! So you know now the secret why this specific plane holds the Marking of this Austrian Hungarian Fighter ace.... Here we go: (Many of the Pictures are from Mr. Mayrhofer himself) ((yes it is a rare 2 seater Bleriot XI from 1911/1912 where you pilots had a Gunner in your neck.. watch this rare picture below during flight!! this Bleriot was in France with the memorial flight ass. but after an flying / pilot accident (not fatal but severe...) repaired through Mr. Mayrhofer... now Mr Fritsch likes to base the plane also in Aigen..))
  11. Albatros DIII Mayrhofer Fritsch

Good morning all again, thank you very much for the warm welcome in here! To your questions: Herr Prop-Wasche: Yes, outside left and right of the DRI, they were fitted with flare guns left you can see the holder of the flare gun cartridges. RH side of the DR1 the german flare gun type "Hebel Model 1894" 26,5mm Caliber.
  12. Albatros DIII Mayrhofer Fritsch

Mr Fritsch is owner of very nice flying planes: interesting for you maybe here the Fokker DR1 with Markings of the Jagdstaffel 14 of 1918 of Ltd. Karl Bolle (see him below far right together with Ernst Udet middle and Karl Bodenschatz left) I hope to give you soon flying praktice tips how these old planes are flying, for the time i do much praktice in taildragging on my own Piper Pa 18 :-) (below)
  13. Albatros DIII Mayrhofer Fritsch

We hope to get asap video material of the plane, i am just on flying duty with my jet sitting in north germany, and hope to get the videos of our testrun on the weekend. The sound was incredible. It was the first testrun of the engine on the complete assembled aircraft. The engine is an original AUSTRO DAIMLER of 1918, which was found factory new, with 0 hours! This Aircraft / Engine Combination is the only one in the world, a uniqe piece of history! Well (shame on me) i don´t know the game, but i am sure to get it as Cockpit trainer before ill fly the Albatros in real ;-) Matthias
  14. Albatros DIII Mayrhofer Fritsch

Hello folks; the marking of this Albatros (yes a 253 late built series) was done by the Austrian OEFFAG Aircraft building company. The personal markings of this plane are from Benno Fiala Ritter von Fernbrugg an Austrian Hungarian flying ace of the Jagdfliegerkompanie 41. The owner and man in the cockpit is Mr. Eberhard Fritsch, who is engine expert; the man who is in the grey flight suit is Mr. Koloman Mayrhofer who is professional WWI Aircraft builder. Currently 3 further Albatros DII and DIII and his personal Albatros can be seen here: http://www.wwi-models.org/Photos/Ger/Alb_DIII_OFFAG/ you can see pictures of the plane in the video during the rebuilding with original OEFFAG plans on this website: http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/replica-...d-iii-news.html (50 sites with pictures and projects of Albatros around the world) So far greetings from Austria. Matthias.
  15. Albatros DIII Mayrhofer Fritsch

Good afternoon, my name is Matthias, i am the one who posted this Video from my friends Albatros DIII. For all your information: this video was made with my picture camera ixus and its video possibility. It was important for me to show WWI Aviation friends in the web those phantastic pictures from the uniqe engine run. I appologize if the "frames" and "art direction" of this video is not adequate for you, yes we are specialists in building planes , not in making Adventure movies. But ill get a better cut programm soon to make better videos,... well thinking of buing a 3 chip Profi Cam too to provide superb Youtube videos........ Matthias as Yakhiasi.
