Falcon 4.0 Allied Force plane skins!?
ktickner6767 replied to ktickner6767's topic in Falcon 4 Series
Thanks guys! I honestly appreciate you replying to my post but, I have had no luck trying to get these skins to work while attempting to use a LOD editor. It dose appear to require a PHD in computer science to get this thing to work! LOL! I am extremely disappointed that the "http://www.thegamerstools.com/" site is now down and no longer functions. That was one of my favorite sites on the net! Of course I re-installed my operating system a few months ago thinking naively that I could simply return to the site to download their "installer" and skin packs. I guess it was foolish of me to think they would still be around. (Big Sigh!) I have read and re-read the instructions on this blasted LOD editor and still can not make any since of it. There must be some detailed instructions being left out of the process. For example, where in the world do you place the skin files? Inside the KoreaObj folder inside the game? And if so, do the skins remain in their organized folders or do they need to be loose files inside the KoreaObj folder? I have tried everything I can think of and I keep getting error messages. Why can't I just drag and drop these blasted things in a folder inside the game somewhere and just write over the old graphics with the new ones?! -
Hi everyone! I am desperately seeking better looking "skins" for Falcon 4.0 Allied Force. There used to be a fantastic site called "Gamers Tools" that was excellent but, their site is now down. After an exhaustive search I finally found a cool site with some beautiful skins for Falcon 4.0 Allied Force along with many for Free Falcon as well if you are interested. The web site is located here: http://www.janhas.net/. The only problem is there is NO INSTALLER FOR THESE SKINS! They appear to require some kind of "LOD editor", what ever that is. I spent about 15 minutes trying to figure it out but, through my hands up in frustration and said forget it! Are there any web sites you guys know of that have some high quality skins for Falcon 4.0 Allied Force that do not require a PHD in computer science to install the skins! Thanks.

I haven't posted in a while and thought I would add this beauty. I'm enjoying the First Eagles II version very much. -
Got it! Thanks mate! It is absolutely, jaw dropping gorgeous! OMG! Now if I could only play the game at more than 3 frames per second! LOL! It was nice to look at for a few minutes at least. Unfortunately my computer simply can not run it and I will be forced to go back to the original terrain the game shipped with. Sad, really. Oh well. It is an outstanding achievement! The best visual eye candy I have ever seen for the Third Wire Sim family of games. Congratulations Stary!

Wow! This new terrain looks out-freaking-standing. Fantastic job guys. I just wish I could get it to work. I dragged and dropped it into my Thirdwire Mods folder but, nothing changes when I play the game. I've tried changing the effects detail inside the game but, I can't get anything that looks even close to what those scree shots look like. Am I missing something? Does this new Israeli Terrain folder need to go inside the objects folder perhaps?

Wow! That new Israeli terrain is out-freaking-standing! I'm curious. Is Strike Fighters Isreal the most detailed combat sim in the Thirdwire series? Does it have something the others do not that allows developers to create such outstanding add-ons for it? -

After reading about Capt. Ward's incredible adventures in the F100 I had to take one for a flight at sunrise. Thank you sir! -
Hi Guys, I have managed to install many different mods successfully in the Strike Fighters series of games but, this one really has me stumped. I can not get this campaign to show up in my drop down menu for Strike Fighters 2 Israel. I have tried numerous attempts at installing this mod without success. Has anyone installed it successfully and if so, can they supply a better more detailed set of instructions for the installation of this mod than the author has supplied? I just don't get it! I have all the menus, music, etc. working I just can not get the new campaign to appear in my drop down menu. It is very frustrating so, I have come here for help. The mod is located at the address listed below: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=10362
