Does DCS recognise USB gauges?

Hi All, Long story short: I know a guy who has build an A4 Skyhawk Sim setup with SUB gauges (Simkits), and I'm looking for a program that will let him actually engage targets from the 'comfort' of his actual A4. I feel a little bad for him only having Microsoft Flight X and nothing but TacPac. Not that there is anything wrong with TP, but I have been his only tech support for a while and can't get it happy with his rig. So anyway, Simkits; Yea or Nay?
