+sophocles Posted Tuesday at 02:37 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:37 PM Hello all! Does anyone know how to superimpose a texture onto the moving map (say a compass tga)? I've been trying for days and nothing seems to work! Thankyou in advance! Quote
yakarov79 Posted Tuesday at 04:22 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:22 PM additional flat object with an assigned transparent texture and linked to a map node. Quote

+sophocles Posted Tuesday at 04:55 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 04:55 PM (edited) Yakarov, I've tried what you've said I've placed (and linked) the tga on top of the map node (superimposed) and although all seems great in Mues LOD viewer .. In-game it looks like this: It's like the transparency of the tga is ignored .. Any idea what it is I'm doing wrong? Edited Tuesday at 04:58 PM by sophocles Quote
yakarov79 Posted Tuesday at 08:11 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:11 PM from av-8BNA cockpit map with overlayed HSI map node and linked to map overlayed HSI, which is textured with TGA. Set transparency (material of superimposed node) in 3D Max to 0% (?) (I do not remember the parameters of that material - I can check on Saturday - soonest) and then play with the transparency of your texture tga in your photoshop/gimp... Quote
