debmalya Posted Monday at 03:10 PM Posted Monday at 03:10 PM Is there a possibility of a f15ex mod ? The f15e already is there Quote
+daddyairplanes Posted Monday at 03:38 PM Posted Monday at 03:38 PM possible, certainly. we have an F-15SA, which preceded the QA and EX the hard part will be setting up a new pit, and adjusting the avionics for SF2. SF2 doenst like 1990s avionics much (the most advanced bit being teh 70s avionics DLL) let alone 2020s. and theres not to many modelers left to make the new almost all glass cockpit but aircraft model and flight model, it would be no problem to make one. you could do it yourself in fact 3 Quote
+simonmiller416 Posted Monday at 03:43 PM Posted Monday at 03:43 PM (edited) No, there's no specific F-15EX mod. However...we can get one by modifying the current F-15E mod. Let us thank the original creators for reserving the following nodes for us: Left_WingOuterPylon and Right_WingOuterPylon. These changes were made almost two years ago, so my description may not be 100% accurate: First we need to open data.ini and make sure to disable the following using "//" and make sure we have active this: By this way we can activate stations that have not been activated due to structural strength reasons. The remaining changes are for the avionics and the serial number etc. Also, I used LAU-115 to make the AMBER rack (so the shape is not that accurate, but kinda like it). Yes, the "F-15EX" in the following picture has wrong markings. Edited Monday at 03:54 PM by simonmiller416 1 Quote
debmalya Posted Monday at 03:59 PM Author Posted Monday at 03:59 PM Thank you , will try my modding skills at present in sf2 are very basic managed to increase the radar track range for the Rafale mod recently (track range was wrong , now 100+km it is possible to use meteor missile properly ) F15e FM has to be modified i believe , the f15e feels very HEAVY , F15EX handling should be closer to f15C ), but radar is okay in F15E. ( a pity the F15CX was not pursued , it would have given anything not true 5th gen a run for its money ) Quote
+simonmiller416 Posted Monday at 04:02 PM Posted Monday at 04:02 PM (edited) And most importantly,as dad said, the cockpit yeah. Creating a cockpit takes far longer than creating the exterior model. Even if we purchase existing assets、resources on the market, it is very difficult to present the correct effect in the game. We need to use all the OSINT we can search to ensure that they are as realistic as possible, not just export a lod and that's all (this is very difficult for aircraft from the 20s, or even the 2000s-10s, as there is a lot of intelligence that we cannot directly access). I still remember the excellent work of Ravenclaw on the F-4 pits btw. And final words... I tried to import an Advanced Eagle cockpit into the game and it made me black out... debmalya Posted Monday at 04:25 PM Author Posted Monday at 04:25 PM Never mind the cockpit !... is it possible to switch FM files of aircraft in sf2 i mean , say make the f15e fly like f15a/c ? (some of the modded jets like f16c /su 35 are way overpowered , you can keep on turning in normal flight mode without losing airspeed) Quote
PCastro Posted yesterday at 05:24 AM Posted yesterday at 05:24 AM Can the F-15EX advanced avionics be modelled in the game? Quote
