FighterDriverA Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I have a hp 3400 AMD Athlon 64 processor, 1 GB Memory, factory video card. I can get the program working, and every selection on title page works, however, when I try to instant flight the program crashes. When it crashes it will not let me Alt-Tab or Cntrl-Alt-Del. I have re-installed now 4 times, applied patch, still no-joy. When I start windows it asks what application do I want to start registration lock on. Is anyone else having thsi problem? How do I fix it? Quote
+Dagger Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 what video chip is on your board and sound?do you have DX9 installed?what drivers are you using?what stick are you using? when you say you reinstalled did you COMPLETELY uninstall,I mean ALL folders and even clean the reg?did you install both patches?are you playing the gold version with Flaming Cliffs or just the origional? Sorry for all the questions but we need to start weeding out causes. Quote
Stealth HR Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 The problem might reside in the graphics controller, if it's integrated. They're known to be extremely bad solutions - so your integrated graphic chip might be the cause. Fortunately, in most cases you can buy a full-size graphics card and let it be used instead of the integrated one. Before doing that, however, please do post the information Dagger requested, it'll definitely help sieving out the components not related t your crashes. Quote

[/quote Video card is SiS 651_661FX card (Factory??), deleted folders, however, did not do a regedit, put the patch from this sites downloads, playing original store bought version. Using Win XP SP2, drivers I have no idea. The Stick saitek st290. Bought and installed Falcon 4.0 Allied force, requires AMD 1800, 1024x768 capable monitor, 64 Mb 3d direct X Video card 8.1 and latest drivers. Game works great no problems, so I know it is not the processor, memory. So maybe it could stick, DX 9, or video card? I will unistall, regedit, and delete LOMAC see what happens, maybe clear some conflicts. I've read that LOMAC is plagued with a ton bugs, and can be a pain in the ass. I want to thank you for helping me, and your help is appreciated. Quote
+JediMaster Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I'd say your problem is the video card. I'm not sure exactly what that is, but it sounds like an integrated card that LOMAC will NOT like. You'll likely have to spend $100 or so to get a card good enough to run LOMAC and other modern games. The Jedi Master Quote
+Dagger Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I'd say Jedi is correct..you might try setting your graphics as low as you can and check your video card in your hadrware panel and get latest drivers.try this and see, also update sound drivers... Quote
FighterDriverA Posted December 23, 2005 Author Posted December 23, 2005 I concur most likely a video card issue, update driver and see what happens, thanks Quote
