nations and weapons and Hueys

I have spent the last two days trying to turn the UH-1B (created by Capun/MarcFighter/Kesselbut/Pasco et.al.) into the equivalent of a D or H so that it can carry guns, rockets, etc. After installing the rockets behind the pilots and putting the pilots on the roof and flying around with invisible weapons (that work), I finally stumbled upon to problem.

 

According to the Weapons and Gun Editors, LAU-3's belong to the nation of USAF while mini-guns belong to the nation of USMC. I would hate to vacation in either of these nations but is there a way to configure the Huey to carry the proper package?

 

And, is there a right and left minigun? (belt feeds from thin air on the right side). No clue about attaching means. They sort of fly formation with the Huey while I struggle to keep it level.

 

Finally, how would one address the subject of Thrust Vectors on helicopters. I have a solution I would like to attempt but don't know where to start. Hell, it took two days to load a minigun on a Huey. No telling how long it will take to make the lift vector perpendicular to the rotor disc and counter precession.

 

Eventually, WOV will have helicopters that helicopter pilots can fly!!!!

Thrust Vectoring in helicopter are enabled, depending on the model and developer. All of the A-Team helos have Thrust Vector enabled for a while. I think the OH-6A was the first retrofitted with TV once that feature was enabled. You do need to set the TV control keystroke, by default they are not set.

 

So what is your question about TV, You can try anything you want and then post in here what your solution is. You may want to send the info to the original dev for some Beta testing before you post as a courtesy.

 

I had the impression that there was already a gunship version of the Huey somewhere, search the posts and archives here and at SimHQ.

Thanks. Tired of reinventing the wheel.

 

If I come up with something, I will certainly send it to its developer first. Right now, I am just trying to get WOV a little more "real".
