I am trying to get a plane go very fast... so what needs to be changed in the data file ?

Makes sense...

it seems that some addon aircraft are slower and some are more manuverable at low speed in sp4...

what exact "line" limits the aircraft speed at different altitude ?

i'd appriciate an answer :smile2:

There may not be any "limits", other than those imposed by real-world data. Most flight models for SF & WoV are based on real world data. We've found that the majority of complaints regarding speed & performance stem from an unfamiliarity with the difference between indicated and true airspeed.

In short, the air speed that you read on the game's info display in the lower left side of the screen is indicated airspeed, not true air speed. It's a matter of reduced air density at altitude, which also effects how a given aircraft "feels" at altitude. This aspect of the game is realistic. An aircraft that can sustain 8 g's at 600 knots at or near sea level, cannot achieve that level of performance at 35,000 feet, if it can't hit 600 knots indicated airspeed (which would be close to Mach 2.0 at 35,000 feet).

i didn't mean indicated air speed ...

my issiue regards mig-23ML NK(from column5.us), in sp3 it was flying close to ~620kt not even mach 1 ... :smile2: at sea level

but in sp4 it flyes at 529kt ... sea level

and it's performance should be : Mach 2.35, 2,500 km/h at altitude; Mach 1.14, 1,350 km/h at sea level (1,553 mph / 840 mph)

(i realy like this jet so i am trying to fix it... )

I've covered this same issue less than a week ago. Perform a search here and you'll find the answer...
