Beginner question about bombing WOV

Hi all,

I've just tried about 5 single missions in WOV, and i don't seem to be able to select/ toggle through my bombs using the backslash key as it says in the manual. The bombs that i have selected at loadout don't show up. I Can however cycle through my air to air missiles. Anyone help me out here??

Could be how WIndows has set your Keyboard up - have you tried going into Options-> controls and remapping the key to another -unused one - or a joystick button - then try that

 

as for bombs not showing up - what the actual 3d models? Unless you have changed the aircrafts loadout.ini file they should be fine. Are you using a 3rd party plane downloaded from this site by any chance?

No i'm not using any 3rd party stuff. Its just the WOV game straight out of the box.

the missions i were on were the armed reconaisance ones. don't know if thats relevant.

Should i be able to toggle through the air to ground weapons i have without having targets acquired/assigned etc?

Hi again, Thanx coolhand, you got it spot on.

I checked the keyboard map, and the key assigned by default to toggle weapons was "#". So i've just changed it. I've not tried it yet but i'm sure it will work now. I think i had this problem when i first bought the game about a year ago. Couldn't sort it out then, thats probably why i ditched it. But thought i'd have another go.
