File Name: A-10 "Desert"

File Submitter: Deadhead

File Submitted: 1 Oct 2006

File Updated: 7 Dec 2006

File Category: A-10 Skins

A "desert" type skin for the stock A-10, I've included variations of the colours so you can mix and match as you see fit. I hope you know how to add textures by now, but if not see some of my other skins for details.

I have looked through the 8 or so skins you have listed here, but see none with any explanation of how to choose

which of the 4 camo schemes will be used.

Would you please elaborate here?

First off , apologies for not replying sooner but i've not been on-line a lot recently because of work commitments. I guess the easiest way to change schemes would be to edit the skins in a decent art package , I use Paintshop pro , there you could just select the colour scheme you want to try and swap the colours in the existing skin. For instance you could swap a Dark Grey for a Dark Green, then when you have all the colours as you want them you can save the skin in a new folder.

However if you really want to experiment i've found that the schemes look better if you first of all add a blur effect to taste and then use the Fill function over any skin of your choice. I've created "Aggressor" type skins for F-15 and F-16's using this method although i don't think they're good enough to post on site.

I should tell you that i only adapted these schemes from a pattern i found on the internet so if you care to use them in any way feel free. The advantage of these patterns is that they are seamless and so give a fair paint scheme without too many obvious edges.

All of the skins i've done have initially been for my own amusement and to see if i could put my ideas into practice without any thought of posting them , but i was talked into posting them by my son who insisted they were good enough. That's why they were posted so haphasardly.

I hope this helps and if you have any more questions please PM me.

Once again apologies for my late reply.
