Don't clearly understand your question.

 

The Damage textures are declared in the Plane.ini file, are activated via the Plane_Data.ini Min/MaxExtentPosition. The Texture itself is created from the 3D Model UVMap as it is the main texture file

OK ? So if I want to make a diffrent model of a aircraft (Say a Z99a into a Z99b) and I change all the .ini's ect. do I have to rename the the holes.tga's Keeping the stock Lod's and Bmp's

If the texture maps are changed, yes. It tracks their names

 

If the textures stay the same, no
