Updated to 2.0!!

 

In 1968, 36 of these jets were modified from stock F-4C Phantoms and given systems to detect SAM activity. Modifications included the AN/APR-25 RHAWS, AN/APR-26 SAM launch warning system, plus the addition of the ALQ-119 ECM pods. In 1969, they were then assigned to the 67th TFS, 18th TFW at Kadena AB, Japan. During late 1972, the jets deployed to Vietnam to test their newly acquired abilities during the Linebacker raids.
