Skater Posted April 7, 2003 Posted April 7, 2003 I am doing an interview with the makers of the new Simped Vario Pro F-16+ rudders. Sound off here or in e-mail as to what questions you would like me to ask. Deadline for questions is Saturday. A review of the pedals will be OTW as soon as I get a set to test them out. -Skater skater@biohazcentral.com Quote
SDirickson Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 How does the software compare to that of say a Thrustmaster or CH Product? How much movement for and aft do the pedals allow? Can you program them to perform exactly like you want? Are they compatible with all joysticks? What programs currently offer toebrake support? Quote
Skater Posted April 8, 2003 Author Posted April 8, 2003 Thanks SD! Keep those questions coming guys. Excellent questions SD. -Skater Quote
Sidewinder Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 Will they be adjustable for us taller pilots? j/k Quote
SDirickson Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 Oh, forgot a couple: What sort of grips does it have on the base? Will it remain stable on tile and carpet? How tight are the toebrake springs? Is it easy to overturn the set if you press too hard on the brakes? Will they break, lol? Quote
Skater Posted April 9, 2003 Author Posted April 9, 2003 Will they be adjustable for us taller pilots? j/k Good question! I am 6'4" myself, and some pedals have my knees and thighs scraping along the underside of the desk. Very annoying. I actually have to height adjust the desk, which throws everything else off of course. :) Great question. -Skater Quote

Sledge Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 How about: What are the dimensions? (Will it fit under my desk) Who will be handling them in the U.S.? What sort of warranty do they back their product up with? When will they be available in the U.S.? Have they been successfully tested with the Thrustmaster Cougar? (What other controllers have they been tested with for that matter) How close in appearance and dimensions are they to the real F-16 Rudders? Thanks Skater! - Sledge Quote
