Turning of your HUD display?

Hi Guys,

 

'preciate the tweaks thread. I am wondering if there is a way to turn off the info display for your plane that appears in the bottom right hand of the screen? I didn't see anything in the manual. Thanks either way!

ALT+D twice will switch the info off...

Here's what I do:

 

Start Game, go to Options > Control > Customize, under Game Commands

(1st block of control assignments), select the last command in this block

"HUD information toggle". Assign a key or button to it, left click "Accept",

go back to the game. You will now be able to cycle thru' 3 selections:

 

1-HUD Display

2-HUD with Frame rate displayed

3-No HUD or Frame rate displayed

 

I do this with SFP-1, WoV and 1st Eagles, should work fine for you.

Using the Alt+D (Hud information toggle) method removes ALL icons and info boxes. There are other options besides that. With an edit to the Huddata.ini you can eliminate the data on the bottom right and/or bottom left and keep the enemy and friendly icons (red & blue box) . You can change the size of the boxes too. And you can get rid of the large Aldiss scope sight in the upper right and still use the "normal" display. I'll add all this to the .ini tweaks thread.
