Does anyone have info on the IAF/DF B17 circa 1956?

 

I know officially they were B17Gs but I seem to remember that they were never fitted with chin turrets, so the B17F would be a better model to use. I have plenty of photos from 1948 which show aircraft without the ball or the dorsal turrets. Were these obtained by 1956? I think they might have been.
