Skin for Stephen1918's Breguet XIX. These aircraft represent the Ecole d’aéronautique pressed into service at the outbreak of World War II as communication aircraft.
  3. Modders - whats on the list?

I'm using that page as my guide. I thought a few Ecole d’aéronautique (Cockatoo) aircraft pressed into service flying in an army communications role would be representative of 1940. The numbers should probably be in the 130-156 range to represent the last surviving air frames, although I have record of No.78 being abandoned at Oostende. Well, its posted.
  4. Modders - whats on the list?

Working on the Belgian Br.19. I've got the standard rudder makings sorted. All it needs is the individual aircraft numbers in the place indicated and matching codes under the lower wings.
  5. View File Breguet XIX Republican pack I have depicted three Republican squadrons: 22 Grupo, 23 Grupo and Alas Rojas (Red Wings). I would have liked to assign squadrons (Escuadrilla) to the first two skins but it would have only been guesswork. The Red Wings was a unit that was equipped with a range of aircraft including: nine Breguet XIXs; five Nieuport 52s; one Fokker F.VIIB; and one DH89 Dragon Rapide. It operated in the Aragonian front, hitting targets in Zaragoza, Huesca, Tardienta and Barbastro. LloydNB Submitter LloydNB Submitted 04/26/2019 Category First Eagles - Golden Era - Allied Skins

  7. Storm Over The Sahara

    Me included!
  8. Storm Over The Sahara

Well some of us have access to the Wellesley.
  9. Storm Over The Sahara

I was thinking of the Eritrea/Ethiopia terrain for SF2. The objects are all modern but at least it wouldn't be starting from stratch. Even the Madagascar terrain for SF2 would be useable if we were thinking of the invasion of the Vichy territory in 1942. I do love the vehicles. Have you considered the Italian L3 series of tankettes? They saw wide service in Spain and North Africa. I'm still looking for evidence that they were employed in East Africa.
  10. Spanish Skies

    Progress report on 23 Grupo.
  11. Storm Over The Sahara

The beauty of it is that all the same aircraft , equipment and scenery can be used for East Africa and there is even the beginnings of a suitable terrain.
  12. Spanish Skies

Still working on Republican Br.19s. Casa built Br.19s used more canvas in the fuselage, positioned the steps in a different place and only put them on the left side. Three squadrons under development - 22 Grupo, 23 Grupo and Alas Rojas Squadron.
  13. I'm using Paint Shop Pro 9 and a nice little AlphaConverter execute to make the tga files work properly. PSP9 will produce PS files.
  14. Spanish Skies

I think I've got a hi-res version of the squadron marking. I'll look when I get home. I struggle to find a good font for the numbers on Italian aircraft. What font is that?
  15. Spanish Skies

Nice choice of squadron markings for the S.79
  16. View File Breguet XIX_Hellas 2 Mira Royal Hellenic Air Force 1940 The Breguet 19A2B2 served in the Royal Hellenic Air Force from 1925 to 1940. Initially they carried the names of Greek cities and island but were later given code numbers. 53 aircraft were purchased, including 12 from Yugoslavia in 1935, but only 18 were still airworthy by the start of the Greco-Italian War. By this stage it filled an observation/army cooperation role with 1 Observation Mira, under I Corp Command, based at Perigiali, near Corinth and with 2 Observation Mira under II Corps command, based at Larissa and Kozani. On 4 November 1940, a Breguet from 2 Mira located the attacking 3rd Julia Alpine Division in a mountain pass near Metsovo. Three more Breguets sent to bomb the Italian division were in turn attacked by three Fiat CR.42 fighters. A Breguet was shot down, one crash-landed and the third returned to base, though badly shot up. I've include both the bmp files and the layered psp files for those of you who want to improve on the skin or make your own. 19. A slightly different take on the Spanish Civil War - Alas Rojas Squadron. Equipped with 9 Br.19s, 4 Nieuport 52s, 1 Fokker F.VIIB, 1 DH89 Dragon Rapide and a mix of civilian aircraft.
  20. Thanks mate! I'll give it a try. In the meantime, I've nearly finished a Belgian Br19 (Ecole d’aéronautique). Just need to do some decals for the "Br19A2B2" and aircraft numbers for the tail.
  21. I've managed to move the loadout to under the fuselage but can't get rid of the wing bomb racks. I've forgotten so much while away. Maybe a Greek Skin next.
  22. Well, that's a start on the fuselage. Now on to the wings.
  23. Have a look at a tool like FilterForge.
  24. Nice! Is there a French navy skin in preparation?
