Newbie Question - Screenshots without words?

Hello

 

I am a newbie here and I must confess although I've owned WOV for a couple of years it has never made it out of the box until this week. I had no idea what I was missing. This week I purchased WOE and merged the two together. I've also purchased the first 10 YAP missions and will be getting the rest soon. The community supporting this sim is just unbelieveable. Thank you all!!!

 

Now my question, how do you pros get screenshots without the text in the left hand corner of your screen?

if you are referring to the text as in the display of speed, distance, height, etc. etc., one way to do it if you just want them off for screenshots is just to hit alt + h until it clears the screen, and then you can hit alt + h again to bring it back.

 

It cycles through 3 different displays, normal, normal with frames per second, and cleared.

 

You can edit an ini file somewhere to completely remove it (I think).. but I just prefer the alt + h method better. In case alt + h does not work check your options under customize to see what is listed as your hud display key.

When taking screenshots it's wise to pauze the sim -not only you can experiment with some interesting views&angles, but after few seconds speech subtitles fades away (of coure if you are using them, i do)

I got it now. It was CRTL+H that worked for me. I now have it programmed into my HOTAS.
