Weird WOV graphics crash

I installed WOV, tried to play it, then got the message that I needed to install the Feb 2007 version of Direct X 9c. So I disinstalled WOV, defragged, downloaded and installed the latest 9c then reinstalled WOV with both patches.

 

The game starts and plays fine, but when I quit, the WOV quit screen goes into a graphics coronary attack. I have to restart the computer to clear it up. Any idea why this is happening. No problems with other flight sims.

This is not a common problem and this series is very stable - so im almost certain it is to do with the graphics card/drivers or monitor drivers.

 

It may be worth changing a few in-game graphics settings and than trying some different profiles from your advanced card settings also - (if you can)
