I've downloaded a bunch of excellent aircraft for the First Eagles Sim and have no drama flying them in Single Mission.

They don't show up as flyable choices in Multiplayer. Is there an .ini file or something that I need to adjust for them to show up?

Thanks for your time.

All of the MP Players have to have the same airplanes.

Plus they have to match exactly in some cases. If you're doing it via lan, just copy the whole folder over with the aircraft, its skins etc in it. What I usually do is copy the sounds, Aircraft and Weapons folders and that usually works fine. You may need to copy over the ground objects folder too, but I'm not too sure.

Hey - thanks for the replies, guys. The planes don't show up when I host a game without any other PC's networked at all - just mine. I haven't had a chance to network yet - getting all systems ready before the next LAN party.

Hang on, they're not showing up when you setup an MP even though there are no other players on your lan? Is this correct?

Yep, SayWhat - that's right. I've just re-started the game and tried again - still no show of the planes in the "select aircraft" section of the multiplayer lobby. Is there, perhaps a file I need to edit to enable the third party planes?

Okay - I've got it!

Which planes you can fly depends on the time period. So the DH2 and Pfalz don't show up in 1918 but do so in MP missions set in earlier time periods.

So I have a new question - is there a way to enable all planes in the game to fly in any period? I know it's done for game balance but honestly, my friends wouldn't care.

Thanks for your time

You'd have to edit the .ini files of the planes in question to alter their service dates. For 3rd party planes that's no big deal, but for stock planes you have to extract their .ini's from the .CAT file first before you can do that.
