I have two general questions that I have been meaning to ask. 1.) When is Marcelo gonna release the Frogfoots and new Flankers? I have been looking every day and it kills me that they still are not there. Release date= Please be soon! :good: 2.) The Hawk SAM missile was integrated onto two Tomcats that Iran had back in 1979. From what I have read, and seen, they have NOT pursued this project, I think. Is there any way to make the Hawk an Air 2 Air Missile, or integrate it onto F-14's in SFp1? That would kinda cool if that were possible.

1. I don't know but I think they need some extra testing and other stuff!!

but , my modern migs will keep you busy!!! My Mig-21 2000 will be uploaded two days from now.

2. I thought about that too, because they used Hawks for tests and other things to

keep the Tomcat flying. Iran soon will be not in use in a few years. Since USA is no longer selling parts and etc.

When I saw your MiG pack, I began to wonder, "Maybe I can ask him." You, I take it, like Russian and former Soviet aircraft. I love them as much as Tomcats. I was wondering if you had plans to make any new MiGs like the MiG-31, or others like the Tu-160, Tu-95, Tu-128 "Fiddler", or any I forgot. More MiGs = usually more targets. USUALLY... not all the time. :good:

PS.= A J-8 II "Finback" Pack would really cool. Or an Q/A-5 attacker.

My opinion about this as an ex-HAWKer - pure propaganda BS. Not the first time the disinformation has been used to create an image of something that doesn't exist. Mostly for home consumption.

I've seen the "photos" purported to show them, and for starters, they appear to be too small. Even if they were full-size, you have any idea of how much a HAWK missile weighs? There are other technical reasons regarding the radars which make it stupid. And to top it off, there are air-to-air missiles available on the market (which they have access to) which out perform the HAWK. Heck, we were looking at replacing the HAWK missile with old SPARROWS! They had near the same range, better ECCM, were light and easy to handle (definitely not the HAWK!), and we could triple the ammo basic load.

For a country which claims to be making most of it's own military hardware, from MBTs, to guns, to anti-tank and anti-ship missiles, the notion that they would use 20-30 year old HAWK missile (well past their shelf-life) is lunacy.

The HAWK can be loaded to a Tomcat if it's modified to carry the HAWK on the Phoenix pylons. I got them on my Iranian 'Cat a while back but never released the capability as a mod; not enough interest for me to go off looking for permission from both the HAWK maker and Mirage Factory. On top of that they never saw mainstream use, and overall they were pretty useless. They'd hit the target, sure, but rarely, and they weighed the 'Cat down horrendously. Better to stick with Sparrow as your SAHM missile.

I think I'll just stick to my AIM-54's and R-27's on my US SU-27.
