She's equipped for bombing and ground attack as well as balloon-busting (but get in close - you only have a few shots).

Fast, especially if you're in an early war fighter, but with an upper wing-tank that's vulnerable and can have spectacular results if you can hit it.

Available at CombatACE.

More skins to come from v. Deutschmark and the Release pack also includes a full set of templates for anyone who wants to do their own skins.

(S!) ALL hi ;-)

This is a SP3 4531 Star, Italian Air Service Caporetto around 1917/18.

As you can see from the photo with this skin documents it was destroyed

When the axes powers overran the drome it was part of during the dark days

Of Caporetto, SP3 pilots loved their SP3s so much that even when new machines

Arrived at the frontline the SP3s where not given up by their cures and where in

Service right up to 1920, the first fight that an SP3 had was with two Albatros D3

Where the SP3 downed both machines, it was not till a month later from its arrival

At the frontline that the first SP3 fell to the guns of an Albatros D3, SP3 pilots reported

That their SP3s where good dog-fighters and bombing platforms, this plane was also the

First that the Italian Air Service had their first great bombing campaign with.

If you would like to know more about the SP3, look for Windsock vol 19, #3, May/ June 2003, Part two by Alberto Casirati.

To the best of my knowing this is the first time that an SP3 has ever been in a flying sim.

Oronzo Marginati called ( Come ti erudisco il pupo ) in English is

( how I teach to the baby ) I call him ( Little Man )

This plane was around during the dark days of Caporetto the fate of this plane is Unknown.

Guest Charles

Very nice addition to FE, thanks Laton.

It flies nicely, and looks great.

Very much looking forward to your Fokker E.III, BTW.

Cheers,

Now the SP.3 is out I'll be back onto the E.I/II/III/IV series

The model itself is almost done, have to add the rigging and a few details.

Then I'll start in on the pit. :crazy:

Edit to add:

Mapped & in-game shots

(S!) ALL hi ;-)

I had many PMs where I was asked about skinning like what do you

Use, how do you go about it from the start and so no, the last question

Was how long does it take you….. ho boy…. I probably should had said

Ask my wife…… :biggrin: well anyhow… that SP3 base skin that you are

Looking at has about 120 hours in it not including the reaching time.

It could be a similar problem to the one that you sometimes get with the A-Team Camel.

Have a look in the FlightEngine.ini file (you may need to extract it from the FlightData.CAT) and check the GraphicsSettings section.

It should look like this:

[GraphicsSettings]

ZBufferDepth=24

MaxVertexCount=16384

MaxIndexCount=32768

MaxTextureCount=16384

MaxModelType=2048

MaxMeshPerScene=2048

MaxModelPerScene=4096

MaxLightPerScene=1024

AspectRatio=1.333333

MinPixelSize=1.0
