rotagen 0 Posted August 2, 2007 (edited) Hey, I hate to be a nitpicker, but I'm pretty sure the AlbD3 had square wingtips. I wonder if anyone is handy enough with the 3d models for first eagles to change from the current "pointy" DV-type wingtips to the proper DIII orientation? Or am I wrong and only the DII had square tips?

It's just that the early albatroses are some of my favorite planes.

Just wonderin, Rotagen. Guest Charles Posted August 2, 2007 (edited) Feedback is always useful. I'm pretty sure the D.III had the pointed wingtips, though: Anf TK's upcoming version of the D.III has them too: Edited August 2, 2007 by Charles
+whiteknight06604 934 Posted August 3, 2007 I think it was the DII that had the square wing tips.
Nicholas Bell 117 Posted August 3, 2007 What would be nice is the straight edge rudder rather than the D V tail.
+Tailspin 3 Posted August 3, 2007 I wouldn't necessarily call it the D V tail. The D V took the rudder design from the OAW built DIII. But, yes it would be nice to have both the original Johannisthal factory and the later OAW rudder designs.
