+X RAY Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Thanks to Wrench for the superb model Soviet pvo blue numbers and radome, now extended Soviet red numbers, green extended radome see photo it's my first work, what do you think? Quote
+Wrench Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Not bad... Not bad at all!!! You know there's blue tactical numbers in my IL-28T mod, right??? They're the stock 3rdW red tga's repainted -- a time consuming process that involved extracting ALL 100 numbers and re-coloring them. PIA that was Some suggestions; convert images to jpg, get an account a photobucket, and upload there. Or use the gallery here at CA ... very convient! The bmps are kinda big. so, what did you change, and how did you did it??? I do have one 'mean' thing to say... EASY AVIONICS????? sheesh!!!! Waddaya gonna do with kids these days!!! Wrench kevin stein easy avionics yes, just to make the prove and.....to find a way let the alkalis hit something----but replacing with atolls is better!-strange thing...russian weps!like the gary power's case the u2 was hitted by a double sa2 launch with two mig 19 flying to intercept, the other sa 2 hitted directly one of the migs!nice missiles! +Wrench Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Sgt: one of 2 all weather interceptors I released a few week back, MiG-19P Farmer D and MiG-19PM Farmer E So, X,you still didn't answer the question: how'd you get the numbers to work? Move the 19P nose (the one without the pylons, and NOT buried in the cockpit) forward slightly?? Wrench kevin stein Quote

Move the 19P nose (the one without the pylons, and NOT buried in the cockpit) forward slightly?? Wrench kevin stein i had problems with the code of the nose supplied in the package so I rename it mig 17PFU to match the ini's,like i've read in another post where another one expose that problem, anyway i've use the simple paint program to paint directly the numbers on the nose and to enlarge the antenna dielectric green-or blue-or red surface I put back in the skin folder and it works easily, the only problem that i've seen is that all of the saquadron planes have the same number!patience,is my first work,I'm only a beginner!so i use the p red dielectric nose to do it,just copy and paste the original green radomes over the red,to have sharp panel lines cause the original pfu nose is less detailed, yours is better!but if i install yours (green) it appears with a sort of black anti glare panel? That's all Quote
+Wrench Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 The 'black anti-glare' panel on the renamed 17PFU nose (now 19PPM - that's the nose and pylon set, 'hidden' inside the body) is to cover up the part that shows inside the cockpit...otherwise the pilot looks like he's sitting a hot tub of liquid metal!!! After all, this IS only a kind of stand-in until hopefully someone actually builds us a complete new aircraft. Which I doubt will ever happen.... Wrench kevin stein Quote

Wrench kevin stein really???if I rename the 19ppm to 17 pfu it appears like a black anti glare!so I think like u that yours 19p remains alone, but is a great plane,i've appreciated it! mine was only a test! U can try to do the same modifying the 19 ppm, delete the black anti glare, enlarge the antenna dielectric panel and add your tactical no.s, your work will much better than mine! Quote
+Wrench Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 No, no no...use the parts that came with the aircraft ONLY...it's designed to work a specific way, and if you mess around with things, you'll screw it up beyond recovery. Leave things as they are...read the readme, it explains all. Wrench kevin stein Quote
