That seems unusual, unless he was an O-7 select. one might say that he "Mc Peaked early"......... or perphaps; a falling star nuked his career radioactive career prospects (fill in additional.....) When I was in SAC from '81 to '88, all my wing commanders were 0-6's. Squadron commanders ranged from majors to Lt. Colonels (0-4 to 0-5). JediMaster 451 Posted November 1, 2007 Interesting. At my wing the cmdr is an O-7 with the larger squadrons headed by O-6s and the smaller O-5s, with only the smallest O-4s.
