Demon AIM-7 problem

How do i lock on to a target and shoot him with a AIM-7?

Same way you do with any other aircraft.

 

Be in search mode, then when you get a blip, put the cursor on him. Then lock him up and wait til you get the 'lockon' circle. Then fire...and pray.

 

I just did it right now to make sure it can be done.

 

The Demon does not have a 'boresight' or 'air combat' mode for it's air to air radar...every lock has to be done manually.

 

Check page 3 in the WOE manual or page 6 in the WOV manual. Usually, the default keys are Home/Shift+Home for radar target cycling and Insert for Lock On Selected Target.

And the lock-on range is limited to 20 nm, so even if the target shows at the top of the 25 nm scale you still cant lock. Get closer.

in the OTC , the Demon doesnt have boresight mode!
