I have a problem with seting textures on my 3d models.

I use 3ds max v.9 and apropriate exporter

In 3ds max I set texture corectly but when I export it to a game file, texture iz not where it supose to be. it doesn not recognise position and scale from max file, and it is completly in default state.

Another problem is with some weapons, specialy rocket pods, and racks.

Misiles positions in pod are set using coordinates from 3ds max>

In game misiles are in corect group, and X & Z axes are corect but, Y is not and misiles apear out of the pod

if anyone can help my email is monsterbnt@gmail.com

thanx

First of all, have you read ThirdWire's Exporter notes? You can find them in here, I think they are in the utilities sections bunched with the old exporter (get the newest exporter from ThirdWire's site)

That is a must have document and keep it handy as a reference.

Just in case, Scale information is not transferred (But you can do vertex scaling with a different procedure). All motion controller need to be set to TCB, Shaders set to Blinn.

How is the texture applied and how does it look different?. For the weapons being offset, most likely you have not set the Pivot point correctly.

All of that info is in the Exporter Notes

To capun, you must listen!

Also, if you haven't already, download Mustangs tutorials...a must have...has a really great tutorial on using UVW mapping for texturing.
