Chaffs/flares for Mig-21/23 serries?

Recommended Posts

Wow, hot topic again :diablo::biggrin:

Well, APU-23:

http://forum.valka.cz/download.php/id/44214

I saw this pylon on Mig-23M in WOE. But it was only one version, on which I saw it. My question is: Can we carry this pylon on other Floger versions?

On the other hand, there are different pylons under Apex too:

Can we carry this pylon on other Floger versions?

I think that we can't add this pylon to other Mig's. They are in lod file format fitted in concrete mode

You wrote that there are some bugs.

Yeah, stock MiG-23m from WoE is very awful. This model doesn't have few most important things that the real MiG does have! Like

-interceptors(spoilers) on wings

-slats

-pilot seat!

-engine nozzle animation

-nose gear animation (steering on ground)

-definitely flight model must be better!

-lights

And one think - real Mig-23 doesn't use ailerons in flight. To manouvres migs use interceptors(spoilers) on low wing angles (low speed). On high wing angles (high speed, mach 1+) mig only use stabilizers.

Therefore I prefer mirage factory mig's. Ho knows maybe in WoI TK improve migs.

p.s. I have little fix fuselage stations, add these numbers to get realistic weapon attachment

[LeftFuselageStation]

SystemType=WEAPON_STATION

StationID=3

StationGroupID=2

StationType=EXTERNAL

AttachmentPosition=-0.40,0.55,-1.16

AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,19.0 <-----------------------------

LoadLimit=760.0

AllowedWeaponClass=IRM,2IR,RP,BOMB,2BR

AttachmentType=Soviet

ModelNodeName=AAM_Pylon_Left

PylonMass=108.9

PylonDragArea=0.03

LaunchRailNodeName=LeftRail01

[RightFuselageStation]

SystemType=WEAPON_STATION

StationID=4

StationGroupID=2

StationType=EXTERNAL

AttachmentPosition=0.40,0.55,-1.16

AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,-19.0 <----------------------------

LoadLimit=760.0

AllowedWeaponClass=IRM,BOMB,RP,2BR,2IR

AttachmentType=Soviet

ModelNodeName=AAM_Pylon_Right

PylonMass=108.9

PylonDragArea=0.03

LaunchRailNodeName=RightRail01

Did you try neles new FMs for Flogers?

http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...870&hl=nele

So, as I wrote a many posts ago, we need moder for APU-23 :biggrin: But It is not necessary to have it, I think. We have new hud (not really real, but VEEERY NICE), we can improve Paladrians Mig-21MF pit (we have his tips how), new FMs. So it is good status for Flogers in SFP1 series for this time :wink:

P.S: I will try your fix. Can't wait :haha:

Gerald14, I'm sure about this one :smile:

The one of Iraqi "Fishbeds" left after embargo in Yugoslavia has a documentation that it has been built as SMT, and it got BIS spine for export (with tank removed, of course). The maintenance was the same as for MF.

It has probably flown as SMT in Soviet Union for some time and then "exportized". The equipment of that aircraft is identical to the export MF, right down to R-13 engine, and some spatial adjustments in the spine area. I guess they ran out of MF-spines :smile: .

After the rift with Soviet Union, Egyptians did try to arm MFs with Sparrows. It was when they had problems with F-4E's, but they opted to get F-16's instead. Considering problems of guidance, missile size and common sense, it was better solution.
