+bobrock Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 View File F-104G Italian Air Force 6° Stormo 6° Stormo A. Fusco, 154° Gruppo - 1970s This skin depicts the tipical italian starfighter paint scheme used in the 70s, in NATO tactical camouflage with large national markings and big white numbers. The Squadron was disbanded after the armistice in 1943 and reformed in 1952 as a fighter-bombers squadron, the insignia is the famous Red Devil and it's named after Alfredo Fusco, ace and Medaglia d'Oro al Valore recipient, shot down during WWII over Albania. In 1965 154° Gruppo was awarded the "NATO flying safety" award, totaling 5000 hrs without any accident. Quite remarkable, since they were flying the dreaded Zipper! This skin is for the original Third Wire F-104G model only. Installation instruction in the readme.txt included.
