feldwebel 0 Posted December 12, 2007 Well I got the landing tutorial and understand the glideoscope and the aoa and stuff; however, when I hit the ground either my wheels break off or i cant slow down in time and hit the bloody fence. Is there some sort of ground break or something, any help?
+drdoyo 2 Posted December 12, 2007 IIRC brakes are 'K" I know that was the case with F4, and having already programmed the controls and had keystrokes burned into the brain I may have remapped F4AF. Plus if you are breaking the gear off, flare before touchdown. Put the velocity vector on the far end of the runway and cut power as you descend through 10 feet and let her settle on. Speed brakes help also. In the real F-16 they land with the speed brakes open. this controls airspeed and allows you to carry extra power so the engine doesn't have to spool up as far in the event of a go-around. feldwebel 0 Posted December 13, 2007 Thank you that helped a bit:D Only problem is that the whole flare and aero brake thing never seem to work for me. It never really slows my plane down and I go hurdling into the fence.

I guess anti-skid is modeled very well as I havn't blown a tire yet due to a failure!
